Getting ready. The hair and make up lady Justine arrived at the crack-o-dawn and it was the four bridesmaids and yours truly lined up for back to back preening. Boy would I be more attractive in real life if Justine was at my beck and call... She had promised to 'air brush' on our make up; I'm not even really sure what this means, but it sounds a bit 'Homer Simpson make up gun' to me. Anyway, the airbrushing machine broke so she did it the old fashioned way.
This is the bridesmaids and the bridesman (yes) having a few cheeky sherbits and doing some backyard posing before the limo arrived.
Not shown here are the many small children my mum invited over from around the neighbourhood (only one of whom I'd ever met before) to come and watch me get ready... One the one hand, cute, on the other, weird.
Other highlights included the speeches ending (they were lovely lovely but long long), my cousin Hudson crowd surfing and everybody dancing to the Proclaimers '500 Miles' song - that's a bit of a house rule in my family. Anyway, we're three weeks into wedded life now (is there a anniversary pre-paper?) and so far so good. I've even started the lengthy process of changing my name... (and not in a manner of a former colleague who took getting married as license to change her first name from Amy to Simone. True story, quite bizarre).
