We’ve been house hunting! It is both thrilling and thoroughly demoralising at the same time. Example: we could live here. This house is just minutes from a train station and tram stop, restaurants, parks, etc. BUT, next door is a wholesale fishmonger. Not just smelly, also open 24 hours. Parking you say? None to speak of! Other things that increase ‘affordability’ include cemeteries, deranged shrieking neighbours and the words ‘prime for renovation’ (meaning the pets poo-ed indoors and we don't have a roof).
And that's not all that's wrong with the world. My dad tells me that the tea bag people, on realising that their customers are impatient have been putting dye into tea bags. This is to give the illusion of strong tea, but the tea is not strong. The dye also stains your cup. This makes so much sense. I have been living a strong tea drinking lie.
