Ooh, have had a 'room of ones own' sort of a day - reading, thoughts, constructing critical and historical accounts of women writers*. Actually thoughts and the critical accounts were a bit thin on the ground - it was probably more reading, dog, couch (me, dog and couch depicted) and then degenerated into licorice allsorts and reality tv**. Anyway, we are having steak and potatoes for dinner. I am excited - the enormous steaks cost = cost price + $60 (for a parking ticket), and are thus made of gold and should be very tasty!

** You are probably interested to know I have finally abandoned The Hills (at season 4), after my friend Dan who is very nearly a Doctor in Psych said that watching TV basically induces a mild state of depression. As I continued to watch The Hills I could actually feel this mild state of depression and that life was passing me by. You may be surprised this took four seasons. I'm a late arrival to Project Runaway now. It is excellent and when I grow up I would like to be a fashion designer.
