Carney and I are headed off on our Honeymoon Mark 2 on Friday. We're trading 40 degree Melbourne and sweltering for -20 Europe and f-f-freezing. While I'd been poo-pooing Carney's 'we need to get ugly gortex/poly-everything hiking shoes' I succumbed over the weekend on learning Denmark had hit negative (!!) 40 degrees cold. Better to be warm and unfashionable than cold (and probably still unfashionable). Plus - there will be wayyyy better leather shoes in Europe! This is us at one of the million Mountain shops we went to on Sunday. Just to let you know we didn't end up getting matching beanies - we figures polarfleeces and long johns was plenty matching enough. Am trying to get Carney to refer to us as 'Team Kitty' but have had little success so far.
